We Read Lab

Empowering People of Determination through education and technology.

Developed by Key2Enable in collaboration with leading partners across the UAE, the We Read Lab creates accessible environments where learners build essential academic, communication, social, and vocational skills. Operating across 10 locations — including Al Mafraq, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Dubai (Able UK Centre), Abu Dhabi University, Aldar Schools, and Sharjah — each hub brings together students, educators, families, and technology to create meaningful learning opportunities.

Inclusive Education Development

Building systemic capacity for inclusion — one specialist at a time.

Armenia has made significant progress towards inclusive education, and Key2Enable is deepening that work through partnerships with schools, PMPCs (Pedagogical-Psychological Assessment Centres), and communities nationwide. The initiative strengthens the capacity of special educators, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and support teachers — equipping them with assistive technology and evidence-based practices that outlast any single intervention.

The Brazil lab works alongside mainstream schools to redesign physical and digital learning environments that welcome students with diverse educational needs. The India lab focuses on the critical transition between education and employment for individuals with disabilities. Through personalised training, practical learning experiences, and assistive technology, participants are supported in preparing for meaningful and sustainable employment. Beyond the workplace, the programme also strengthens communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and independent living skills — helping individuals achieve greater autonomy and quality of life.

The Qatar lab is a centre for innovation, implementation, and capacity building in assistive technology. Supporting children and adults with diverse learning, communication, and physical needs, the lab ensures individuals have access to the right tools — from AAC systems to adaptive learning environments. It also serves as a demonstration space where organisations can explore emerging technologies and develop strategies for more accessible environments.
